Our
self-drive
tours* is the ultimate product for independent travellers
who want full control over their daily travels. It allows
you to spend more time at attractions that you enjoy and to
cut out others  less
suited to your taste. Our self-drive
tours* include, amongst other things: Avis
car rental with unlimited
mileage, super cover
insurance and temporary AA
membership; accommodation
and a travel
pack* (map, route descriptions,
contact numbers, etc). We provide tour
backup 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Where appropriate
self-drive
tours* may include one or two guided
elements - such as joining a game
ranger*, on an open 4x4 safari vehicle, to explore the
African bush on bush tracks not open to the general public.
The number of
people you can fit into a vehicle will depend on which vehicle
you choose. The
largest rental vehicle available is the Volkswagen Caravelle
(a "van" to Americans) which seats 8 people. If
need be we can provide your group/ party with more than one
vehicle. Tours can be customised*.
Self-drive
tours & safaris* are arranged according to luxury
level ( middle-range & top-end).
In each luxury level tours are arranged by length of stay
(2-7 days, 8-14 days, 15-21 days & more than 21 days). Links

middle-range luxury level our self-drive
tours* make use of mostly 3-4
star accommodation. We provide accommodation in
hand picked
hotels, guesthouses and B&B's.
With self-drive
tours* you may select your own
starting date.You may choose from a variety of
tours exploring Southern* and/or
Eastern Africa. For the ultimate holiday experience you may
choose a highlights package including a little bit of everything
that makes the region special or you may opt for a special
interest tour focussing on your area of interest  (wildlife/
culutures/ adventure/ birding, etc.).

i.e. adjust it to fit your specific requirements. |

 At
top-end luxury level our self-drive
tours* are exclusive in every way. You may choose from
a selection of luxury rental vehicles
and you will stay in mostly 5-star
hotels, lodges & guesthouses.
On wildlife tours
you will visit exclusive wildlife areas which  only
accept a limited number of guests. The game
reserves* & lodges selected by us provide some of
the best quality wildlife experiences in Africa. You will
sample the region's culutural variety, the historic sights
and the scenic beauty.
