The centre offers only one large supermarket - Pick 'n Pay, the rest of the tenants are small to mid-sized mostly specialised shops. Walmer Park has a good mix of clothing stores, boutiques, sport stores, news agencies, hobby & art outlets, bookshops, restaurants & coffee shops and a movie house (Nu-Metro). There's ample parking including under cover bays.

If you're a book lover the best reason to visit Walmer Park is that it's home to the only Exclusive Books branch in Port Elizabeth. The adjoining coffee shop offers the perfect place to browse through the bookshop's offerings before or without purchasing. While Exclusive Books is perfect for hard and soft-cover books, including coffee-table books, the CNA (Central News Agency) close by has a larger collection of newspapers and magazines. While there are many upmarket options those looking for cheaply priced clothes should consider visiting Mr Price. The Nu-Metro Cineplex offers mostly mainstream blockbusters although it sometimes shows more refined movies. Sadly there are no Cinema Nouveau outlets in Port Elizabeth.
