Of all the view sites along the majestic Panorama Route, Three Rondavels offers the best views. The viewpoint, ±60km north of Graskop lies just above the broadest section of the Blyde River Canyon. It offers views of the Three Rondavels - buttresses on the opposite side of the canyon, the Blyde River beneath, the Blydepoort Dam downstream and the mouth of the canyon where it opens up into the expanses of the Lowveld beyond.

There are a number of pathways leading to various vantage points. At this site it is really necessary to walk around a bit and to take your time. If you do you'll be rewarded with new breathtaking views around almost every "corner".
