Africa Deluxe Tours' self-drive tours is the ultimate product for independent travelers who want full control over their daily travels. It allows you to spend more time at attractions that you enjoy and to cut out others less suited to your taste (clients requesting a custom tour may also request for it to be designed as a self-drive tour).

Our self-drive tours include, amongst other things: Avis car rental with unlimited mileage, super cover insurance and temporary AA membership; accommodation and a travel pack (map, route descriptions, contact numbers, etc). We provide tour backup 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Where appropriate self-drive tours may include one or two guided elements - such as joining a game ranger, on an open 4x4 safari vehicle, to explore the African bush on bush tracks not open to the general public.

The number of people you can fit into a vehicle will depend on which vehicle you choose. The largest rental vehicle available is the Volkswagen Microbus (a "van" to Americans) which seats 8 people.
