Self-Catering - |
|
In the tourism industry the term "self-catering" is normally used in relation to accommodation (hotels, game/ guest lodges, etc.). If an accommodation establishment or a tour itinerary indicates that accommodation is self-catering it means that it does not include any meals at all. Self-catering accommodation only includes the room / other unit for the nights booked and now meals will be served. In most cases accommodation that is self-catering will have a small kitchenette / kitchen corner or fully equipped kitchen to allow you to self-cater, i.e. store and prepare your own food. This is however not always the case.
