The term optional is used by us (Africa Deluxe Tours) to indicate an element(s) within a tour itinerary that is:
An example would be a rest day built into a tour itinerary, with an optional excursion in the afternoon. Tour members who'd prefer to rest the whole day are not losing out as they have not paid for the optional excursion anyway. However, others may decide to opt for the excursion in which case the price thereof will be for their own account. Depending on the nature of the excursion it may be necessary for you to inform us of your intention to join the excursion before your arrival in Southern / Eastern Africa.
