The term guided tour or guided excursion is normally used by us (Africa Deluxe Tours) when we refer to an optional (half-)day tour or excursion within a tour package. However, clients who request a custom tour may also indicate that they want such a tour to be guided (as opposed to doing the tour on a self-drive basis). Furthermore we may simply indicate in a tour itinerary that the particular tour is a guided tour.

A "guided" tour / "guided" optional excursion simply means that the tour/ excursion will include the services of a tourist guide (driver-guide if applicable), i.e. you will not have to find your own way around.
