| Overview Durban International Airport (DIA), previously known as Louis Botha Airport, is located next to the N2 Highway (South Coast), 16 km south of Durban. While
the airport is licensed for international flights the majority of its flight
traffic is in fact domestic. DIA is the main point of entry for visitors
wanting to fly into KwaZulu-Natal.
The airport handles about 2.4 million passengers annually.
It is not a big airport but offers a wide variety of services including airport and tourism information kiosks. Other facilities at the airport include: shuttle and taxi services to Durban downtown and beachfront hotels; bureau de change; banks; ATM's; a post office; telephone services; internet facilities; car rental; a filling station and secure parking.
