Durban International Airport (DIA), previously known as Louis Botha Airport, is located next to the N2 Highway (South Coast), 16 km south of Durban. While the airport is licensed for international flights the majority of its flight traffic is in fact domestic. DIA is the main point of entry for visitors wanting to fly into KwaZulu-Natal. The airport handles about 2.4 million passengers annually.
