Location & Geography
As the name suggests the country is located at the southern end (tip really) of the continent of Africa. South Africa lies on the Central African Time Line, or GMT+2. It covers a land area of ±1,2 million square kilometres, has nine provinces and a multi-cultural population of ±43 million (we have eleven official languages).

The country has a mostly sandy coastline of roughly 3000km extending down its eastern and western flanks and around the southern tip of Africa.

South Africa has excellent transport infrastructure including various international airports.
