The South African flag South Africa is the country where Africa Deluxe Tours is based, and we would have it no other way! Most visitors come here for a combination of three main features of this prime tourism destination - our extraordinary wildlife, our rich cultural diversity and the shear scenic beauty of the place. Location & Geography
As the name suggests the country is located at the southern end (tip really) of the continent of Africa. South Africa lies on the Central African Time Line, or GMT+2. It covers a land area of ±1,2 million square kilometres, has nine provinces and a multi-cultural population of ±43 million (we have eleven official languages). Cape Point, located at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula near Cape Town.

The country has a mostly sandy coastline of roughly 3000km extending down its eastern and western flanks and around the southern tip of Africa.

South Africa has excellent transport infrastructure including various international airports.
