Limited exhibition space requires the constant rotation of works of art from the Permanent Collection. Amongst others, the Collection includes works by William Kentridge, Willie Bester, Pierneef, Toulouse-Lautrec and George Pemba. Should you wish to see specific works not currently on exhibition you can do so by appointment. An active programme of temporary exhibitions supplements the Permanent Collection. Guided tours and lectures take place and films are shown, at scheduled times. Children's workshops are also offered regularly.

In addition to the Gallery's exhibitions and collections the Gallery's shop offers a selection of books, catalogues, cards, gifts, posters, reproductions and other items. Catalogues of current exhibitions are for sale in the shop. However, visitors may also hire copies from the information desk for use in the Gallery.

There are no dedicated parking bays for visitors. Limited street parking is available in front of the Museum and metered parking close by. There is a parking bay for the disabled outside the Arts Hall and wheelchair ramps leading to both entrances. A wheelchair is available on request.
