- Number 7 Castle Hill Museum -

The  Museum is located in Port Elizabeth, click here for more info on the city.No 7 Castle Hill was completed in 1830 and is one of the oldest surviving British Settler cottages in Port Elizabeth. No.7 Castle Hill RoadThe cottage in central Port Elizabeth was renovated in the 1960's and opened as Museum in 1965. It represents English middle class life in the city as it was in the mid-19th century.

The cottage has Yellowwood floors and beams and a restored slate roof. Other interesting features include a dollhouse, lace displays and a 19th century kitchen. The museum fits in well with a walking tour of the city. You can endeavour on a self-guided tour or we can arrange a guided tour for you.
