We are operating this tour
at a very special price of R13 000 per person sharing (±
£1 300 or ±US$1860). This is exactly the same price
we operated identical tours at a year ago! Single persons electing
to share with another tour member do not have to pay a single supplement
(we will appoint a roommate if necessary). However, should you choose
not to share a room a single supplement of R1900 (±£190

15 October - Pretoria to Pilgrim's Rest (D)
Enjoy
breakfast at your Pretoria hotel or other accommodation establishment
from where you've attended the South African Cake Decorators' International
Show. After breakfast you will be picked up. Leave Pretoria behind
and travel through the Eastern Highveld*
to the historic gold mining village of Pilgrim’s
Rest*. Stop over at the rural
village of Dullstroom*
to browse and enjoy lunch.

19 October - Swaziland to Hluhluwe (BD)
Travel through the Ezulwini Valley,

October - Knysna to Oudtshoorn (BD)
Explore
the town of Knysna*.
Take a trip on the lake to the Featherbed Nature Reserve and visit

steam train to George, enjoying the scenic beauty of Sedgefield,
Wilderness*
and Victoria Bay. Travel by coach via the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn*.

25 October - Mossel Bay to Cape Town (BL)
Travel via the historic town
of Swellendam*
and along the lovely coastal drive passing through Kleinmond,

with the possibility of whale spotting, lunch.

26 October - Cape Town (BD)
Travel
by Ferry to Robben Island where president Mandela and many of
his comrades were kept prisoner. Enjoy a guided tour of the island

drive along the coast to Houtbaai (lunch). Proceed on the breathtaking
Chapman's
Peak Drive*. Visit the internationally
acclaimed Kirstenbosch botanical gardens which attract as many
visitors as the Kruger

27 October - Cape Town (BLD)
Day program organized by the
Sugar Craft Guilds of Somerset West and vicinity. End a lovely
day at sunset by taking the cable car to the top of Table
Mountain* with a splendid
view of Cape
Town* and surrounds while
enjoying a picnic-supper with members of the Guild.
Saturday,
28 October - Cape Town - Home (BL)
Travel
inland to visit the valleys nestled amongst impressive mountains
where South
Africa's* famous wine estates
are located. Stop over at Paarl, Franschoek - French Huguenot
country - and the beautiful student town of Stellenbosch*,
known for its dappled avenues of three-centuries-old oaks.
Visit a wine estate for
a tour of the cellar and wine
tasting*. Buy a few bottles
of wine to enjoy at home while reminiscing about a wonderful holiday
in sunny South
Africa*. Depart for home
from Cape
Town International Airport*.
